Between stimulus and response there is a space.
In that space is our power to choose our response.
In our response lies our growth and our freedom.
— Viktor Frankl

What happens in the moments between – between expression, reception, interpretation, conclusion?

I am an experimental communication designer and visual artist with an interest in translation, miss-communication and performativity in participatory design.

I am particularly interested in communication gaps. The moments, where common grounds make us assume comprehension, exchange and connection. As contemporary virtuality increases an illusion of communication and connectivity, my aim is to create tools that raise awareness of the performativity of language, of (dis-)embodied communication, and experientiable concepts.
My communication practice lies in graphic design, product design and print, typography, drawing, and most recently in performative work, participatory installations, teaching and workshops as well as writing and research around language, translation and consciousness.
